I couldn't wait until tomorrow morning to go back out shooting, so Alexis and I took a late night run downtown tonight to "cleanse the pallet" from this morning's class trip.
This one looked much better in morning daylight when I shot it a few weeks ago but the zig zag pattern still looks cool at night.First Baptist Church, Downtown Knoxville. I loved the way the light played with the columns.
JFG is a local coffee company. I took this shot from the Gay Street Bridge. Is it just me or does this remind anyone of the opening animation to the Rocky and Bullwinkle show?Obligatory tail light blurs......
View of the Henley Street Bridge from the Gay Street bridge.
My fav shot, I got a reflection of the railroad bridge showing up under the Henley Street bridge, while taken on the Gay St Bridge. I hope your weekend is going well!
For a hilarious laugh, check out this post from Forgive Us Our Lens (The Knox News Sentinel photo staff's blog).

ReplyDeleteI need you help!
That was a halrious entry!!
Thanks for sharing..TJ
I just read this, looked at some other entries & realized: Yeah, I really do know who he is :-)(other than a pork loin lover & a guy who gives good suggestions for my Give blog). Years back Alexis had a blog I read for a while also.....so much for me keeping track of people...
ReplyDeleteThe only pics I take well are the tail light blurs.
Love the bridge shots. And thanks for the link to that post - too funny!
ReplyDeleteThat church is awesome and the bridge? Freakin awesome.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures hon! Loved the night shots. I'm a night person myself so it all endears to me. The zigzag building pic turned out pretty cool. (Hugs)Indigo
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, Chris! Enjoyed looking around your blog - great idea. I'm thinking this would be great to do for my "class" pictures too, since flickr is a little less personal. :-) And my other site is "business". Enjoyed the field trip and talking with you and Colby about photography ideas.

These are great! I especially love that last shot!
ReplyDelete...oh yeah...Rocky & Bullwinkle! It does remind me of that! Was a fave cartoon as a kid!!!
Your fav is my fav.
ReplyDeleteI love the way the colors off that bridge play out. One would even think you phototweaked to get such vibrant colors. It's the sort of thing I could sit and just gaze upon for an hour~
I also loved the bottom one. Probably because it stops and makes me think....what am I looking at?
Chris,
ReplyDeleteI was great hanging with you at the last fieldtrip. Great images. My favorites are in order 18, 1, 11, 16. I am astonished at image 18 and 1. I wish I had taken them! There are many people who do not like abstract images so I might not include 1 but I LOVE it. 11 and 16 are really good too.
I love your attitude toward photography, it is great to be around.
