Food Porn

This is a shot that I took this weekend for my food blog (Pan seared scallops with golden shrimp sauce...and a bit of sriracha heat!) but it is soooooo purty that I had to post it here too! Not only was it nicely executed from a culinary standpoint, I was proud of the styling, the composition, and color from a photography standpoint.

I'd have to say it's one of the top 10 food shots I've ever created and taken!

    Can you really do anything wrong to a scallop, other than boiling it...and it does look purty...yummm...

    This is not really scallops, it is a duck hiding inside a scallop suit, and that is just duck fat...kidding, could not help myself, and know you appreciate the humor, just like that is not really my Phoot over on my TMI site, I borrowed it from the neighbor :)

    This looks great! As in tasty and pretty! I've just been visiting your food blog and it probably wasn't such a good idea being so close to dinner. Anything I cook tonight is going to look very sad in comparison to what I saw on your blog just now!

    Boy, does that look good..I was always use to bay scallops, being born on Long Island, N.Y...it was fun going in the bay after them..
